I know it's not Belbin family related but my mother Gloria Jean Rolfe when she was very young, used to live in the Belbins house with her parents Dennis and Kathleen Rolfe, Dennis was the owner of Rolfe garage in Romsey.

Hello from the Antipodes. I am a descendant of Benjamin Belbin and Mary Rideout. Their grandson, Thomas Rose, came to Australia with his family in 1792 and was one of the first free settlers to arrive in the new colony. We've been here ever since :). I'm 7th generation Australian, and my grandchildren 9th generation. Valuable website, so I hope it keeps going. Kind regards. Tony Fallon

Hi Terry,
Been investigating the Belbin who originated from Christchurch, Hampshire, England, UK, (William Belbin) born 1812.
Was a convict, transported to Tasmania, Aust.
Do you think there could be a connection with your "mob"? (Family)
Regards, Bob Melbourne, Aust. :-)

Hi Sue, Yes, you are correct! It has been very quiet as I have had almost zero time this year, but I am now catching up. All the best. Terry.

What a wonderful and informative website, well done. I am a descendant of James Fordham and Lucinda Susan Spencer, their daughter Elizabeth Fordham married Charles Belben in 1853. I have information on the Fordham side of the family if anyone is interested. Does anyone know what happened to Elizabeth and Charles Belben and does anyone have any photos.

Hi , I am researching the family tree for my partner . Malcolm John Belbin, as he was adopted and given another name. He only found out when his adoptive mother died that he was the illegitimate son of Joan Phyllis Belbin. My geneologist friend has found that he has a very large family in Surrey and the south of England. So we are on a fascinating quest now, Maybe a relative or two on here...
An interesting site I will keep looking :-)

Good Afternoon, There are not too many Belbins in Canada but I think I am related to most of them. We have family in Kamloops, Quesnel, Edmonton and Moose Jaw. We tried to do a family tree but had some difficulty connecting back to UK. Glad to see someone take the bull by the horns.

GREAT website. I'm currently writing my husband's family history, and in doing research came across this website. Thanks so much for the opportunity to post a message.
My husband's ancestors came from Hant's Harbour, Newfoundland. One of the persons in the Husson family tree was Emma "Amy" Pitts Husson, who married Henry Marshall Dicen Belbin in 1886. They immigrated to Lynn, MA in 1892. They had at least 8 children: Mildred, Alexander, Hulda, Cecile, William, Florence, Harold, and George. I have some info on each, but would like to learn more. By the way, took a trip to Hant's Harbour in June, 2010, and learned much about the Husson families.
Cheers to your website!
